When Ed founded Kingstar over 15 years ago, his vision was to develop a marketing agency that anticipates and responds to industry shifts and continually provides true, measurable value to his clients. Lending his extensive experience in direct marketing and television production, and responding to the new ways in which consumers interact and connect, Ed is driving the agency into the new world of surround sound marketing – helping clients communicate across all channels with one voice. Whether building brands, selling direct to consumers, using direct response as a way to drive web traffic or retail sales, Ed and his team have expanded the role of direct response and how it can help drive marketing strategy.
Jake brings over 20 years of media experience and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and the broadcast community to his role as General Manager. Jake focuses his marketing and sales skills, honed at positions he held at Shop TV Canada and Echo Advertising & Marketing, to expand, develop and diversify Kingstar's business. With experience on both sides of the media-buying fence – broadcast and client – Jake brings a unique and comprehensive perspective to the industry. Jake spearheads the Radio and Long Form media buying teams. Jake holds a diploma in Advertising & Media Sales from Humber College.
Anat joined the Kingstar Media team in 2003 as Account Manager. As Senior VP of Media, Anat continues to be a driving force in Kingstar's growth and evolution. With an academic background in marketing, an eye for detail and a commitment to client service, Anat keeps on top of industry trends and emerging technology making her better able to create, manage and maintain successful media campaigns, many of which go on to become household names. Anat has built strong relationships with broadcasters and suppliers – passing that goodwill along to her clients in the form of strong CPOs and maximum ROI.
Kristy joined Kingstar in 2016 as VP of New Business Development. With over 15 years of experience in television Kristy's dedication to client service and production is the driving force behind her role as VP of New Business Development. Kristy's ability to build relationships serves as a key component in helping Kingstar garner new clientele. Kristy is current on the ERA's Industry Women's Council in addition to being a current member of the Content Committee and the DRMA Membership Committee.
Jennifer manages Kingstar's short form media for the French speaking market. Detail oriented, consistent and persistent, Jennifer has been an integral part of the team for over 6 years, working hard on client's behalf to help them achieve optimal results. Jennifer has a diploma of Advertising Media Sales from the School of Media Studies & IT from Humber College.
Jennifer manages Kingstar's long form media as well as short form children's campaigns. Prior to joining Kingstar in 2013, Jennifer held senior positions at Duit Direct, Polaroid, Equicom and American Express. Jennifer is always focused on the big picture, while still being particularly adept at managing the details. Jennifer has a BA from McGill University and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business.
Sophia brings 10 years of advertising agency experience and an in depth knowledge of media planning and data analytics to her role as Senior Media Manager. Sophia manages Kingstar's short form .com clientele. Prior to joining Kingstar in 2015, Sophia held positions at Ottawa firms gordongroup marketing + communications and Mediaplus Advertising. Most recently Sophia spent over 5 years in the direct response industry working at Toronto firm Northern Lights Direct. Sophia has a diploma in Advertising from Algonquin College in Ottawa.
Tony manages Kingstar's two minute short form media. Prior to joining Kingstar over 5 years ago, Tony held a position at PHD in their digital department. Tony remains focused on constant campaign optimization, ensuring that our clients achieve the ROI. Tony is a graduate from St. Clair College – with an Advanced Academic Diploma in Advertising.
Mark brings in-depth knowledge of media planning and buying to his role as a Media Manager, with over 10 years experience in the advertising agency world. Prior to joining Kingstar Media, Mark held senior positions at Dentsu Aegis and Zenith Optimedia where he worked on large national accounts within the automotive, retail, packaged goods and alcohol industries. Mark has a diploma in Advertising and Media Sales from Humber College in Toronto.
Sean is responsible for managing all media campaigns and assisting in preparing commercial scheduling and trafficking. Prior to joining Kingstar in 2014, Sean held positions at the Toronto International Film Festival, Bell Media, and the Financial Services Commission of Ontario. Sean has a Bachelor of Applied Arts (specializing in Media Studies) and a Diploma in Media Communications (specializing in Digital Communications) from the University of Guelph-Humber.
Grace is responsible for maintaining accurate records of buy schedules for clients and assisting with scheduling and trafficking creative. Her enthusiasm and strong attention to detail ensures that information is always kept up to date in order to support the rest of the team. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Film and Media) from Queen's University.
Detail oriented and adaptable, Kewal has been an integral part of the team for over 5 years working primarily in the radio and long form media teams in his role as Senior Media Coordinator. Kewal has a Bachelor of Commerce in Business Technology Management from Ryerson University.
As Account Coordinator, Sugaray is responsible for supporting the Media Managers to ensure that clients' deliverables are met. He is tasked with booking media space on behalf of Kingstar's clients with the Representatives of various televisions stations. Sugaray has an Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration from Trent University and a postgraduate Degree in Advertise Account Management from Humber College.
Phi joined Kingstar in 2012 as Traffic Manager. Phi works with the planning, production and reporting teams as well as Kingstar's clients to ensure that creative materials are prepared for launch. Phi also works closely with all TV station traffic departments to ensure stations are running creative accurately each week. Phi graduated from Sheridan College with an Advanced Diploma in Advertising.
Dania's role as Digital Media Buyer for Kingstar Media encompasses planning, creating and optimizing digital paid media campaigns across multiple online platforms, including Google AdWords, Facebook and YouTube to drive leads and engagement. She is certified in Google AdWords and Google Analytics, and has a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Communication from Ryerson University.
Patrick joined Kingstar as Media Coordinator in 2007. He proceeded to become Kingstar's analytics expert, and is relied upon daily to provide comprehensive analysis of all campaign data and results. Patrick is responsible for managing call centre data, creating and providing analysis for client reports, analytics research, as well as analyzing tools, maintaining systems and developing and maintaining relationships with call centers. Patrick came to Kingstar from MediaEdge, a WPP company, and is a graduate of Humber College in Advertising Media Sales and Media Copywriting and has extensive knowledge of programs such as BBM, Core, DDS and Catalyst.
As Senior Analyst, Anil has a strong attention to detail and passion for data analysis that is reflected in his dedication to helping the planning/buying team optimize campaigns based on his findings. Prior to working at Kingstar, Anil held a position at Conversition as Data Analyst. Anil holds a Bachelor of Health Sciences from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology.
David joined Kingstar in 2015 as Junior Media Analyst. David works closely with the planning team working on client's reporting and optimizations. Prior to Kingstar, David held a Researcher positon at the CBC and as a Project Develop at the Huitong Financial Group in China. David has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Real Estate from the University of Thailand and a post-graduate certificate in Research Analyst from Georgian College.
Kiran has more than 20 years of financial experience, having held positions at Sun TV, Lexus Toyota and Volkswagen. Kiran joined Kingstar in 2008, and has made a significant contribution to Kingstar's business, directing all accounting functions and providing increased oversight of financial operations and support for Kingstar's future growth. Kiran's attention to detail and years of experience have made her a dynamic and integral part of the Kingstar team, helping develop and implement policies and procedures that ensure accuracy, fairness and focus.
As Accounting Administrator, Raymond works closely with all Kingstar team members to ensure campaigns are running smoothly and accurately from a billing and invoicing perspective. With an ability to foresee problems before they arise and create solutions and processes, Raymond's work ethic over the past 5 years is unmatched.
As Accounting Administrator for over 5 years, Nancy works closely with all Kingstar team members and outside vendors to ensure billing and invoicing is done in a timely manner each month. With a great attention to detail and commitment to meeting deadlines, Nancy's is an integral part of the Kingstar family.
Mehrdad brings several years' hands-on experience of reconciliation to his role as Reconciliation Administrator. He makes significant contribution to Kingstar Media's business by reconciling and processing settlement of media purchases, media schedules, station invoices, airing data and resolve any discrepancies within time frame.
Angela works closely with all the Kingstar team using her exceptional organizational and problem solving skills to ensure smooth operation of the office. With over 7 years of managerial experience, she builds and establishes relationships between Kingstar media and outside vendors.
